We are seeking a creative, intelligent, and hard-working front-end, WordPress developer. You will be tasked with developing and maintaining complex build-outs in WordPress with the ability to pivot to other frameworks including Shopify, Laravel, and React.

Responsibilities

• Ability to both work autonomously and as part of a team
• Collaborate with fellow team members across all disciplines to generate and deliver compelling solutions
• Work alongside designers to ensure desired outcomes are achieved
• Detail-oriented and organized. You’re a pro at managing and prioritizing the workload for yourself and your team. Day-to-day feature deployment for a variety of different properties
• Research on new solutions and offerings
• Build efficient and reusable front-end systems
• Find and address performance issues
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Identify and communicate front-end best practices

Requirements

• A deep understanding of custom WordPress development including theme, plugin development, and MySQL database management
• Knowledge of Advanced Custom Fields and creating a custom back-end in WordPress
• Building a theme from scratch using minimal plugins in order to avoid conflicts
• A deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive development
• Deep understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator
• An understanding and knowledge base of Search Engine Optimization
• Familiarity with the latest web languages: HTML5, CSS3 (using a preprocessor or PostCSS), JavaScript, jQuery
• Knowledge of version control, specifically GIT
• Knowledge of pixel implementation
• Knowledge of Google Analytics
• Ability to write out scope requirements
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Ability to convert a PSD into a webpage with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to convert a PSD to a responsive email in Mail Chimp and Constant Contact
